PrankNET

I've been listening to some of PrankNET's recordings, and it's amazing how easily people buy it. That's what makes cons work. A person's willingness to obey or please someone. I'm tempted to do some prank calling of my own, but not to the same level. They caused some $50,000 worth of damage, indirectly! Pretty amazing when you think about it.

Posing as press to sneak into a music festival...

This year, I posed as a member of a medium sized reviewing company to score a VIP pass for a music festival, which allowed backstage entry, free food for crew and I got to meet band members. It was the most risky con I've done so far, but ultimately worth it. I shared it with a few friends, so we could all get free food and stuff. Worked perfectly and was so easy to pull off. All I did was use an email faker which allowed me to set my personal email as the reply address, and continued the conversation from there. And it worked! The pass is shown below but the AAA was covered by permanent marker. AAA means Access All Areas. Alcohol gel managed to remove it, and allowed me to go where ever I wanted!

Useful tip: alcohol gel removes permanent marker from laminate plastic.

Team Fortress 2 weapon unlocks

I unlocked two weapons today. The Tribalman's shiv for the sniper and Frontier Justice for the engineer. The Frontier Justice "cannot randomly Crit and has half the magazine size of the regular Shotgun (3 from 6), but can get Revenge Crits: For every kill your Sentry Gun racks up, upon its destruction the Frontier Justice gets 2 guaranteed Crits; for every assist, it gets 1. This applies even if the Engineer destroys his own Sentry Gun with the PDA. However, the Frontier Justice can only store up to 35 Critical hits at one time." It's an interesting concept, which I'm going to play with. It allows the engineer to store massive amounts of damage until they need it.

The Tribalman's shiv (with suspect spelling) "leaves a seeping wound upon striking an enemy, which bleeds out for 6 seconds after being inflicted. However, the knife itself deals 50% less damage as a trade-off." This could be a good way of making the Sniper more of a threat in melee, but the kukri was always pretty powerful with a long range to help. We'll see.

The Sniper keeps a look out for the BLU team.

New blog! And subject matters.

Well, I got a new blog. How about that? Here, I'm going to talk about my various schemes and plots that I've come up with or committed. For now, have an image while I work all this out.Sort of related, as I've been playing it this afternoon with an old housemate who moved out. I mostly play Medic now, due to the fact everyone needs one and no one plays as one.
